Experiments with containers
We will attempt to deduce the make-up of containers holding coloured balls. To this end, we must make extractions and share information with our classmates.
Recipients: From 1st ESO to 4th ESO. Recommended for 2nd ESO.
Duration: 1-2 sessions.
Objectives:
- Data interpretation.
- Analysis of relative frequencies as an introduction to probability.

- Data collection and organisation.
- Graph interpretation (bar diagram).
- Using Google spreadsheet.

After rolling many times, we see how the results approach a value.

After rolling many times, we see how the results approximate a value which is the probability of obtaining a specific number.

After tossing a coin many times, we will see that the results approximate the intuitive idea that half of the time we get heads and the other half tails.
